Finn Bader, an IB Diploma Programme (DP) student in Zurich started a ‘food drive’ project to support local people in need. She organized the school’s annual Winter Food Drive project and
collected 22 crates of food and toiletries for SWS, which supports the

To SWS (Sozialwerke Pfarrer Sieber) προσφέρει είδη πρώτης ανάγκης σε 5000 άστεγους κάθε χρόνο στη Ζυρίχη. Η Finn (Finn Bader, an IB Diploma Programme (DP) student at Inter-Community School (ICS)), ανέλαβε να συντονίσει την συνεισφορά του σχολείου της προς την SWS, και συγκέντρωσε 22 κιβώτια με τροφή και είδη πρώτης ανάγκης. Περιγράφει ως κύριο παράγοντα στην επιτυχία το να ενθαρρύνει και να δώσει κίνητρο στους συμμαθητές της και τη σημασία του να βλέπουν την άμεση πρακτική αξιοποίηση της βοήθειας. Η Finn Bader, παράδειγμα προς μίμηση: χωρίς ιδιαίτερη βοήθεια ή προβολή, βοήθησε στο να βρουν φαγητό εκατοντάδες άνθρωποι.
Finn, without fancy advertising and media attention, she simply got her friends to bring food and toiletries and helped get the food at the homeless' shelters. Charity is that simple and effective.
